Charter Compliance Panel

The Charter Compliance Panel, which began operations on 1 January 2004, is an independent audit committee charged with overseeing the work of the PCC. Its task is to examine cases selected at random to ensure that the PCC is meeting its service commitments to complainants. The panel produces a report, and recommendations, to the Commission at the end of each year, which will then be published and to which the Commission will respond.

This process is part of the PCC's ongoing commitment to maintain and improve its operational standards. The panel is chaired by Sir Brian Cubbon, and its members are:

Sir Brian Cubbon (Chairman)
Permanent Secretary: Home Office 1979-1988
Northern Ireland 1976-1979
PCC Commissioner 1995-2002

Harry Rich

Chief Executive, Enterprise Insight
